Read our rental terms and conditions about renting a car in Milos island.

Required documents

  • Valid driver’s license for all declared drivers
  • International driver’s license if required (please read the below paragraph “Driver’s License”)
  • Passport or National ID for all declared drivers
  • Credit Card or Debit Card in the driver’s name as a guarantee.
    300€ will be authorized from the Credit Card at the time of the rental.

All the booking details (online or phone booking) must be valid. Our company declares the right to refuse the rental if the booking details are not valid.

Driver’s age
Drivers must be between 23 & 75 years old.

Driver’s License
The driving license must be issued at least one year before the pick-up date.
National Driving Licenses issued in the E.U. are accepted.
Citizens of all other countries must have a valid International Driver’s License along with their regular Driver’s License.

Bookings and Vehicle Groups
All reservations are based on vehicle groups and not on a specific vehicle model. We try to assign to each reservation the chosen vehicle model. However, if the chosen model becomes unavailable, our company reserves the right to offer a similar model. A similar model will be a vehicle in the same group – category as the chosen model. Also, our company reserves the right to offer a model of a bigger group – category with no extra charge (free upgrade).

Booking length, minimum rental charge
The minimum booking length is a few hours, and the maximum is 30 days. According to the season, the availability, and the pick-up location, the minimum booking length may vary.

The minimum rental charge is one day.

If you wish to rent a vehicle for more than 30 days, please contact us for a quotation as the rental agreement must be renewed every 30 days.

If the renter wishes to keep the rental vehicle more from the agreed period, then the renter must contact us at least two days before the previously agreed vehicle return and request an extension. Based on availability, our company may or may not approve the extension. A rental extension will be valid only if the changes apply to the rental agreement.

Payment Options

Deposit Amount
The deposit can be paid online from our website with credit, debit, and prepaid cards.

We accept Visa & Mastercard.

Balance Amount
The remaining amount will be paid when you pick up the vehicle with cash or credit, debit, or prepaid cards.

Deposit Amounts – Deposit for All Vehicles
The amount of the deposit depends on the selected insurance package. Upon vehicle pickup, the driver must present a credit or debit card, which will be used for the deposit. The deposit amount will be blocked on this card. This amount will not be available for immediate use on your card.

The full deposit amount will be refunded at the end of the rental period, provided that no additional charges arise. The release time of the blocked amount depends on the issuing bank and not on our company. We release the deposit immediately after the rental ends.

Alternatively, cash may be used for the deposit.

Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your reservation, you have to send a cancellation notice email and receive an answer that we received your cancellation notice.

There is no cancellation fee if we receive the cancellation notice up to 10 days before the due pick-up date and time.

If we receive the cancellation notice from 3 days to 10 days prior to the due pick-up date and time, then the cancellation fee equals 40% of the deposit amount.

If we receive the cancellation notice up to 3 days prior to the due pick-up date and time, then the total deposit amount will be charged, and there will be no money return.

No-Show Policy
If the renter fails to collect the vehicle within 2 hours of the agreed rental start date and time without any written update, the reservation may be automatically canceled, and the total deposit amount will be charged.

Late Returns
During the low and mid rental season, the delay for up to 2 hours will not be charged extra. During the high season maximum delay accepted without extra charges is 20 minutes.

If the renter returns the vehicle after the agreed return time and beyond the time limits set above, without agreeing to an extension with our company, the renter will be charged daily according to the daily seasonal rate applicable on the specific dates.

Fuel Policy
The renter has to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered. If the renter returns the vehicle with less fuel level than was delivered, the renter will be charged the fuel difference plus a refueling service fee of 15 Euros. There is no refund if the renter returns the vehicle with more fuel level than was delivered. The renter has to pay for the fuel that will use during the rental period.

Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions
The renter must pay traffic fines, or any administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law. The renter can pay the fines in cash or with a credit card. If any fine becomes required after the rental period, our company will charge the renter’s credit card the amount of the fine.

If the police or other authority removes the registration plates during the rental, the renter must compensate our company immediately. The compensation amount will be calculated by multiplying the total number of days that the vehicle will be without registration plates with the per-day rental price from the current season.

Accident
In the event of a traffic accident, the renter must immediately inform our company and the police. The police will record the accident, and the renter must provide our company with a copy of the police report.

If the police do not record the accident, the renter assumes full responsibility and no insurance coverage will apply.

Baby, Child & Booster Seats
We offer two different types of seats

  • Baby seat: 0-18 Kgs
  • Child seat – booster seat 18-36 Kgs

The child seats are available upon request and subject to availability.

Additional Drivers
One additional driver is free of charge. For additional drivers, the extra cost is 5€/day per driver.

Pets – Animals
Are not allowed in the vehicle

Vehicle Cleaning Charge
If the renter returns the car very dirty, the renter will be charged 60€ + V.A.T. for cleaning the vehicle.

Ferrying the car
It is not allowed off-island.

Insurance coverage

Basic: TPI – Third Party Insurance
With this insurance, all authorized drivers are covered for civil liability toward third parties for death, bodily injury, and property damage. In the event of damage to the vehicle, the driver is obliged to compensate the rental company for actual damages and loss of profit.

Additional: CDW – Collision Damage Waiver (with excess amount)
With this insurance, in the event of an accident or damage, the liability of authorized drivers is limited to a specific excess amount. This amount varies depending on the vehicle category and is as follows:

  • €700 + VAT for Groups A, B & C
  • €900 + VAT for Groups D & E

Explanation:
The excess amount, for example €700 + VAT, defines the maximum amount you are liable to pay in case of an accident or damage to the vehicle.

More specifically:
If the repair cost exceeds €700 + VAT, you will only be required to pay €700 + VAT.
If the repair cost is less than €700 + VAT, you will be required to pay the full amount of the damage (including VAT).

This insurance includes the following coverages as specified below:

  • (GI) Glass breakage (no excess)
  • (FP) Fire Protection (no excess)
  • (TP) Theft Protection (no excess)
  • Damage to tires, rims, and hubcaps (excess of €90 per item)

No insurance covers the following:

  • Damage caused while the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Damage caused by: an unauthorized driver, damage to the interior of the vehicle, illegal parking, violations of the Road Traffic Code, reckless driving, intentional acts, or negligence.
  • Engine damage caused by using the wrong fuel or, more generally, due to driver negligence.
  • Damage caused because the vehicle was used on an unsuitable road or off-road (such as non-asphalted roads, beaches, dirt roads, etc.).
  • Damage occurring after the agreed return time.
  • Damage to the underside of the vehicle.
  • Damage to or loss of the antenna.
  • Damage caused intentionally or through recklessness by the renter, such as: burning the clutch, burning the tires, engine damage, as well as damage to the hood, trunk, or roof because someone sat or climbed on them, etc.
  • Damage if, at the time of the accident, the renter fails to notify our company and the police.
  • Loss of personal belongings.
  • Loss, damage, or theft of the vehicle keys.
  • Theft of the vehicle when the renter does not have the key in their possession.
  • Loss or damage to child seats, the jack, warning triangle, spare tire, fuel cap, and generally any accessories or extras provided by the rental company.

Fixed Compensation amounts due to Damage / Loss / Negligence

  • Vehicle Key: Simple car key 150€ / Special car key: 300 €
  • Baby Seat 100 €, Booster Seat 60€
  • Vehicle Battery 100 €
  • Antenna: 50€
  • Aluminum Rim 100€/pc
  • Plastic wheel cover: 50€/pc
  • Exterior mirror: glass 40€, plastic case/mechanism 100€
  • Car mats: 20€/pc
  • Soiled Seats / Interior : 90€
  • Window Wiper: 30€
  • CAar Tyre: 80€ /pc
  • SUV/ 4×4 Tyre: 100€/pc

Obligations – Other terms
The renter must pay attention to the vehicle by checking its mechanical condition, oil, water, etc. Also, the renter must check the condition of the tires and if the vehicle can move safely. The renter is responsible and is obligated to compensate the company for damages resulting from lack of attention. Also has to park and lock the vehicle properly in an appropriate and safe place.

During the rental period, the vehicle must not be used:

  • In breach of the rental terms
  • To carry passengers or goods on a fee
  • To carry more passengers than allowed
  • To carry heavy objects, smelly goods, or drugs
  • To tow another car or trailer
  • In any kind of races
  • For any purpose that is against the Greek laws
  • Outside of Milos Island with a written authorization of our company.

Vehicle Replacement
If the vehicle becomes non-operational, our company will provide a replacement within a reasonable period of time. This timeframe depends on availability and the area where the vehicle breakdown occurred.
If the vehicle becomes non-operational due to the renter’s fault or negligence, an additional charge will apply to cover the replacement cost.

Important Information
Before departure, you must inspect the vehicle and ensure that you report any damage to the staff. (To better protect yourself, it is advisable to take photos or videos of the vehicle).
Our company is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.
Our company has the right to cancel the rental agreement without any consequences if the renter: Is considered harmful to the company’s interests or violates either the traffic laws or the rental terms.
